Forum upgrade

For the record: I am NOT whinging. I use technology every day running my business. Changes which slow down my ability to help others by being unable to see even basics like what type of diabetes someone has is not an improvement.

I hope other posters refrain from insulting those of us pointing out issues with the system.

I don't care how the forum looks. I DO care about being able to effectively help others without having to ask basic questions. The wrong support can have serious consequences.

Well I don’t particularly like the new format but I think that’s a “I don’t like change“ thing, I do agree a type x next to names is helpful, even if only to encourage me to keep my nose out but I’m sure that will be changed, we need to give them a chance, it’s in no ones interest to upset the members, we all are worse off if people leave so I’m sure anything that can be improved to most people’s satisfaction will be, if it can’t then so be it, I’m sure we would all be upset if our personal info got hacked or whatever the security issue is, so we are gonna have to try and get used to it, or chuck me a pitch fork I’m up for a burning

I have solved this by changing to the UI.X style, which isn't just different colours, it has much more functions than the default red one. A simple click on an arrow by a posters profile brings up all the details needed, and it rolls up long profiles which can be easily unrolled by a toggle.
@lucylthis may help you too

Whoops, just noticed that although it brings up profile info in a column on the left and shows the words "type of diabetes" the column is too narrow to show the information!
We either need a wider column or a shorter heading!!!

Hi @MrsA2 How do you change to the UI.X style? I have automatically been directed to the orange version! I'd be grateful for any help!

@In Response, laughing at my post says far more about you than me, I fail to understand how forum members struggling to help others because the site is at the moment next to useless in terms of being able to find vital info about posters that determines safe advice is funny

Thank you. Will try it.

have changed to the dark with with larger print and it is much better. Thank you. Am much happier now.

Go to your profile , then to preferences, then to style drop down list, choose then save
Brilliant - thank you!

Apologies, I intended to click the agreement response. A different opinion is not a whinge. I have corrected my response.

Disagreement is natural but I feel your reaction to my mistake is over the top.

Thank you for the apology, but you sort of negated it by what you say at the end of your second line, but apology accepted, let’s draw a line and move on

New Web experience:

The Preview Button isn’t working consistently for me.

The Preview Button IS WORKING FOR ME! I recognise now that it isn’t TWO Panes, like the OLD Web pages. Moving on…

Another glitch - am having to review and reset my preferences in relation to online visibility every time I log-in. Using UI.X dark. About to change to see whether it happens In other modes.

Editing to say, yes, happens in all 3 modes.

@admin I think I'm probably not alone in thinking the new profile display is pants.
tells me nothing about the poster and most importantly the "Type" is completely obscured.

Edit to add can anything be done? This particular user has restricted their profile view so there is no way we can find out what type they are.. Advice therefore becomes difficult/impossible.
Many thanks
