Frozen broccoli and courgette rice (actually contains broccoli, courgette and spinach). Not tried it yet but at 2g carbs per 100g and £1 for 2 x 200g bags definitely worth a try.

I think that if you look at recipes on this site you will find it easier and cheaper to make your own but it is your choice

Sounds good value. I've never tried courgette rice or frozen veg so I'd be interested to find out what it tastes like. Let us know, I love cauli rice which I make myself.

Will let you know. I don’t have a food processor and making my own sounds a bit of a faff so this will be a good option to have in the freezer if it’s good.

Thanks for the heads-up on that @Goonergal. I'm not overly fond of cauli rice so that sounds worth a try for a change and when time is short for faffing-about (I agree!). A good excuse to go and get some more Oppo too ;)

Sounds like a good standby. I agree making your own is a faff and messy. When there’s only two of us in the house (kids away at Uni), this may work out more economical for me than buying a whole cauliflower and wasting some. Thanks for the post Goonergal x

Ive stopped making my own- I get the broccoli rice from Iceland - £2 for four bags - I can't make it for that as it has more kale courgette in as well - plus its more convenient- will give the Asda one a try :)

Tried this tonight with a piece of fish. Pretty good. - needs a lot of seasoning (although I guess if you have something on top rather than serving on the side, that will take care of itself). Has a nice bit of ‘bite’ about it. A good stand by to have in the freezer.
