FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

Thanks after reading about all the issues with the libre my expections are not high.

Do you know if glimp readings can be displayed in tabular format?

Not sure, it looks like it can log to a file but I haven't played with it. Glimp looks like it's quite capable if you feed it lots of data but I don't use it that way. Have you tried Liapp? It's much simpler, it has a log which shows you a table of all your scans and also has some debugging options that show the sensor data (the 15 minute readings).

I tend to use the Libre reader more than the phone apps as my phone (LG Nexus 5) doesn't seem to have a particularly good NFC reader, you have to line up the Libre sensor with the phone in a particular spot for it to work, whereas the Libre reader you just put it vaguely near the sensor and it works. The phone apps are great to have as a backup if I forget to grab the Libre reader. The Libre PC software is excellent for reports and can export data in .csv format.

I'm 7 sensors in and a big fan of the Libre, it's not perfect but I haven't had any problems apart from a couple of sensors that read low for a few days and the adhesive giving up if it gets too hot or sweaty from exercise, sometimes I use Tegaderm patches to hold them on but haven't needed to for the last few sensors. Summer is here in Australia so that may become more of an issue.

Hope it works well for you!

I am just 6 hours into this, so far so good.

Yes I have tried liapp, seems to be giving a higher reading.

It is one hour since eating so did blood test and it agreed spot on with libre.

Probably more of a coincidence.

Off to take my shower hope it stays on.

Received an email today to say that the Libre has been dispatched and the expected delivery date is 30th December, there's an option to click on the invoice but when I do so it just goes to the order page

If you scan frequently does this reduce the battery life of the libre sensor or does it not matter? Thanks

First day, been scanning a lot worried that sensor battery might go.

I think I was doing about 30-40 a day when I first got it ;) Never had any battery problems.

Maybe someone can help with this, i've been trying to upload the data from the libre to diasend, it acts as though its uploading data and says its complete, but when i check diasend theres no data there from the libre, only from my other meter.
Also, diasend now won't pick the meter up, it loads into the libre software fine so its not a cable issue

Do you get to the screen where it asks you to register the device? Assume you already have an account for your other meter.

Glimp now works with nightscout for those who use Libre with kids and want their school/carers to be able to share scans easily. I've set it up this morning and it all works nicely! I'd already got the nightscout set up working for Dexcom, but here it is with Libre data.

Odd then. I wonder if it needs a minimum amount of data, or has it worked before?

Looks like it took several hours for it to appear, found it under cgm, yesterday it only had the card/insulin values but now its got the glucose readings as well, pity its not displayed the same way as the meter readings page

Arrived this morning, might put-off starting the first sensor until after the New Year :)

I never had that much patience ;)

:)

Not going out celebrating but will be over-indulging a little on New Years Eve & Day so may wait till Sunday/Monday to start the first one Robert, can I ask where you find the best place to position the sensors, as I'm on the Omnipod Pump and I'm thinking off keeping the two well apart.

I have found the back of the arms to be most accurate. I started off using the side of my arms but the readings would go low when I slept on the sensor (from the pressure).

Thanks @robert72, how you found the stomach for convenience and reliability. Also, do they not recommend that you lay on the sensors.
