OK. I usually find it goes a little high after a hot shower but not for long.No I haven't Robert, it states that it takes 60mins before you can obtain your first reading so I was just going to apply it after I'd had a bath in the morning.

I use it all the time and am finding them more accurate than they used to be.Appreciate the tips, I'll consider applying it the night before when I'm on my second sensor.
Do you use your Libre all the time Robert or just order the sensors occasionally?
No trouble at all Nigel. I only got the starter kit to see what it was like, but got hooked pretty easilyThanks @robert72, hope you didn't mind me asking.
I'm going to see how it goes, I was only really interested in using it for basal rate checks and to evaluate certain meals that are tricky to bolus for, but I expect if it's as good as some say it is then the sensors might become a regular order.

Sounds good. I still haven't looked at the needle in the applicatorStarted first sensor just over an hour ago, bg (tested on pump PDM) on application was 5.4 and with a minute to go tested again on PDM and it was 5.8.
First scan of the sensor said 6.0 with a straight arrow and a bg test on the Libre said 6.2 so overall not a million miles away from each other, really like it and was pleasantly surprised that it didn't hurt on application having seen the needle protruding from the sensor![]()

Can I just ask how difficult is the sensor to remove? I'm considering buying (although the expense may be prohibitive!) but the thought of pulling the sensor out of my arm is making me feel somewhat squeamishCuriosity got the better of me![]()
I take my time removing the sensor if it is well stuck, working around the edges until it's ready to lift off.Can I just ask how difficult is the sensor to remove? Ouch!Or...catch it on a door frame as I did...fell straight off...no problem at all...with another 8 days to run on it...gutted![]()

I found removing the sensor was like removing a well stuck plaster. Definitely no worse. There was no awareness of the wee needle coming out at all. There was a tiny droplet of blood, but since it only happened because I was prodding the siteand was only 1/10 of the size of blood drop I would use for a bg test with my meter, I didn't think it was a problem.
And I am delighted to report that I had no issues with the adhesive. I get itchy rashes from normal plasters, the white tape they use to hold the cotton wool on after blood tests, and a lot of creams and body lotions. But not an itch or a sign of redness after 2 weeks with the libre glue.
Fully expected that to be a major issue, so couldn't be more pleased.
Sensor 2 is now up and running. I had a break of a few days between 1 and 2, and oh how I missed it!
Like Robert, I am hooked!
