Uhm..diabetes
After 5 days and going to the gym twice, I am not sure the sensor will stay on for 14 days. I am gonna try this:

http://www.studio-joli.com/Mastix-extra-Superstar-(Sint!)

Actors use it on stage to stick fake mustaches or wigs.
Only wonder if it wouldn't be dangerous to use it this close to an open connection through your skin.

Daily patterns. The black line is your median (50th percentile) glucose reading and the pale blue area is the range in which your glucose readings have fallen at that time of day.

Ideally, you'd have a narrow band of blue and a flat line right in the middle of your target range.
Tim. Thanks. That is what I guessed, but I don't see the point of it. If the shaded area is between 10 and 90% and presumably 50 th percentile, I.e. roughly in the middle, what can I learn from that? Just that the BGs have a huge range?

I like the other reports on the Reader, so I will stick with those. TriciA

What it is really telling you is that your variation is perhaps wider than you might want and that it would be good to pull it in a bit, if it's really wide.

Just put the 5th sensor on ready for my changeover to tomorrow lunch time. Can't believe this is the 5th sensor - where has the time gone - and the best part of £300 LOL.

Anyway, had a large glass of Chablis before putting the sensor on this time - it still hurt a bit but I didn't care as much LOL.

I'm also doing my 5th sensor tomorrow in preparation for Wednesday. Can't believe it's been 8 weeks already. Might treat myself to a glass of rioja :)

On to my 5th sensor a couple of days early. Yesterday mine started reading 3 units lower than bg. Trend was ok but reader just said LO. Didn't want to waste the last two days but glad I did. Out for a Xmas curry last night had only a small portion of rice and 3 units of Novorapid. After the meal had a quick scan and it was reading in the 2s. Double checked bg and it was right. Quick snack to sort that out.
so, now I see a love hate relationship building. Hate I had to waste 2 days but glad I did as if I was using a meter only I doubt I would have checked assuming a meal like that would need much more than 3 units.

Just walked home from work. Checked libre half way (which is sooooo much easier than finding a place to stop and prick) and 4.2 with diagonal down. Had lucazade and avoided a hypo. Very happy :)

Has anyone done all 5 on the same arm? I have and then dreamt the other night that I had to have my arm amputated because I didn't alternate! Crazy brain!

Did mine at lunchtime, ready to go at 13:30ish tomorrow

Rob, can I ask how many times a day you test your bg levels (with test strips) now that you have the Libre.

Once or twice but quite often not at all, unless I'm low or I suspect something is not right. Probably half a dozen times on the first day of the sensor.

Cheers Rob, so that's quite a reduction then, I do hope the sensors become available on prescription through the NHS.
