just ordered my starter kit, so looking forward to getting on with this
as an IT specialist, I was intrigued with the idea of collecting the data somehow, had a google around and found this, slightly concerning blog post

Interestingly, I was sent an email this morning with an opportunity to invest via the government sponsored Enterprise Investment Scheme in what is believed to be the world’s first truly non-invasive, real-time, continuous monitoring glucose monitoring device, delivering results in cir. 0.5 seconds, and to be developed as a hand-held device for professional use, or a smart wrist band type device for diabetics.
Apparently it has already been subject to a Research Ethics Committee trial at the Royal Liverpool Hospital, a larger scale volunteer study and received the Bionow Healthcare Product of the Year award 2015.
If anyone knows what it is I'd be intrigued!
This came through via a friend who knows about my interests. I'm not directly on the list. How do you get involved in this sort of thing Tim if you don't mind me asking?
Would love to be able to get involved and start contributing to the sort of products that could one day revolutionise my control.
Thanks

Whats deemed acceptable with ranges? As previously said, sometimes telling me im hypo when im not etc and its currently saying blood is high (15.0) after having lunch and getting the dose wrong when its 13 on a meter
I am on my first sensor. It's in my left arm and like you, it is showing 1mmol lower quite consistently. I can live with this as long as its constant.Does anyone know of a rock solid alternative place to put these sensors?
I put mine on the back of my upper arm and I have noticed a weird trend...
Im sure its because I have the "Wrong Type Of Body" :¬)
- My left arm sensors seem to be mostly reading 1 mmol lower than finger prick readings
- My Right arm sensors mostly read 1.5-2.0 mmol higher than blood readings (further out the higher the finger reading is)
- Both arms read a lot higher if change from lying down to standing up (values shoot up as soon as I get vertical)
Still a very useful tool but...
I hope they make a Version 2 of this product one day that's more stable for my body :¬)

I hope that I don't have the same as you when it comes to my right arm. It might seem trivial since you have to mentally adjust the reading anyway, but I think I prefer it to be showing slightly lower.
Haven't noticed a difference in sitting or lying down.
I can't understand why they don't let you calibrate it to a daily bg reading. Maybe one of the unofficial apps will offer this.
So the Libre is indicating that you are laying down or standing up by using it's arrows... That's pretty cool techI am more worried why when I move from lying down to standing up, the Libre shows the vertical line indicator
@madusmacus
But I'm curious, if you just stand up shortly to go to the bathroom and than go back to bed, if your bg actually rises or if it's a Libre glitch. Didn't bother to check that yet with normal BG meter.

I've tried 2. Glimp and Liapp. I've found they give different readings to each other and to the libre reader I've found the libre reader to be most accurateHave you or anyone else got a name for any Unofficial apps :¬) im a coder here would be nice if I could do something
