When you apply the sensor on your arm from what I know it's best to apply it 24 to 48 hours before you start using it to let it settle and also so that reading will be more accurate.
Does it make a difference if you apply it and start using it straight away?

It just means it may not be as accurate for that first day or two as your arm is recovering from its insertion.

When i was using the libre1 I put it on about a day before to let my arm sort itself it out.
However if for some reason I needed to put it on and use it straight away I would but knew that the first days reading may be a bit off

We are all different - some people find they need 24 hours for the sensor to settle down. some people find they need 48 hours and some people find they need no time at all.
The only way to find out what your body needs is to try it.

I need 48 hours for my sensor to bed in. But if a sensor fails before I have had a chance to bed in a new one, I will apply a new sensor and then activate it straight away but test with finger pricks more often for the first couple of days.

Hi, for me they work & are pretty consistent with my meter from the off..

Now I did plant one early by a few hours yesterday, but that was because I was having a day out with my wife & the other was due to end? Slight of hand, set the new one up. Remove the old one when we get home...

I use mine shortly after the 1 hour start-up. I've never really found any problems with the readings after the 1 hour and never needed it to settle-down.
