I have used the Gluco RX Q for five years, and it's always been OK. Gluco gave it to me free. I suspect that your surgery will be switching to the new RX model (can't recall what it's called).
I thought about changing up to the new model a year or so back but the strips were twice as expensive as the ones for the RX Q, and although the meter did a lot more things they weren't things I particularly wanted. So I've stuck with my RX Q.
