Gluten free Pizza no spike

Something odd appears to be happening with me.

Have just had two slices of Gf pizza and my blood has only gone up to 5.9 from 5.00 pre food.

Doesn't make sense to me as it is surely still carb.

I don't know the ingredients as it was from Dominoes but I am starting to wonder whether I should retest myself and whether I have somehow corrected an imbalance with my vitamins and thyroid?

I don't know but something isn't right x

I often wonder how big a role food intolerances play in T2 and RH.

My tolerance for potato is incredible compared with grains.

I suggest a series of experiments, with detailed note taking ;) to map out whether you react specifically to the carbs, the foods, or a combo of them...

Having said that, google 'Pizza Effect'.
Pizzas (and pasta) can have a weird and unusual effect. I will let some Google Wizard explain, because i struggle with the detail.

I had a slice then tested after 15 mins and was 5.2. Ate another slice and tested again after another 15 mins and was 5.9. I will test again at 1 hour after first bite and two hours x

Well, not to butt in, this is why we experiment and duly do not eat fast food.
But to test and try things this is how our body reacts to what is going on.
Imagine, that you didn't have a monitor?
How would you know?
We sometimes think we know and then surprised at our readings!

It's ok to test, but to do it responsibly, so the symptoms don't come back!

Any symptoms from the slight hyper, Emma?

I felt irritable Nosher. Just grumpy really till I got back down to around 6.7. Will test again now before bed and maybe have something little to ward off any overnight hypos x
