Gluten/Wheat Free Sausages on a BBQ

Are Gluten/Wheat Free Sausages better for diabetics that the normal ones? I assume (probably wrongly) that as there is no wheat means less carbs. :?:

i use black farmer sausages they do em in the co op and tescos. 1g of carb per sausage and 95% pork. watch the fat content though. the ones they have on deals with burgers and chicken 3 for £10 etc are stupid amount of carbs. extra special quater pounder burgers in the freezer at asda are 0.9 per burger but the bbq range one we looked at went as high as 10g per burger packed with cereal and wheat
