GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

Good afternoon from sunny central belt of Scotland. I've not been around much recently because of crises (plural) at home but been catching up on your posts. So glad things are more positive for Ron, hoping everyone else with sore bits :) will feel better soon.

Much much brighter in Sunderland after heavy rain this morning. I went out with crutch and even thou only walked little bits as we used car, much more less painful. I'm feeling very hopeful. Anti-inflammorties must be working now. :) :) :)
I went to weigh myself this afternoon to find one foot on scales is bent soooooo need new scales, again. Kids love messing with them. I feel I've lost weight. When I weighed myself mid week I had lose nearly 1 stone but now wondering if scales were broken, we'll see.
On a lot less insulin. Had a treat today as easier than fighting the flab on a miserable day like today.
9yr old at a school friends for tea straight from school. One of his girl friends.
Sooooo looking forward to 3yr olds first day at nursery on Monday. Bunting dusted down and balloons bought. I joke not! Ha ha

The first week that my second boy started school I was out shopping in our nearest town High St. I was thinking about what I was going to buy and suddenly stopped, looked around me and thought "where's C" (my son) I looked up and an assistant who was watching me asked "first day at school?" Apparently it happens all the time Vicki, after years of having at least one child with you, it does feel strange. Enjoy the freedom :) @ickihun

I remember doing that, too! Got preoccupied at the supermarket and then went into a flat panic for a few minutes when I thought I had lost her! :)

Good Evening and Thank You for the Get Well Wishes to: @13lizanne - @ickihun - @Diamum5972 - @maureen5752 - @debrasue @eldergarth & @tina_marie and @Cumberland My Biopsy Procedure was booked for 2pm and I was admitted to the Day Ward at 7.30am. Said to the nurse that I might not last without food and drink till 3pm. As it happened my procedure was delayed till 3.30pm and the nurse appeared at 8.30am with a big plate of Toast and butter and mugs of coffee for Richard and I which she had made for us and said 'nothing after 9am'. She was a lovely Spanish Girl called Conswela and was allocated to me (she worked a 13 hour shift from 7am till 8pm) but there was only another guy (patient) in the 5 bed ward.(Was hoping for a Male Nurse to attend to me!!!!!!But No) So, I opted for Sedation and had local injection to numb area, they checked my blood sugar at 3.30pm and it was 4.7 and had the Biopsy done, it was not painful - just 'uncomfortable' and I had been written up by the Doctor for Liquid Morphine to have anytime I wanted = but never had any pain relief. Taken back to the Day Ward at 4.30pm and had to lay on my back in Bed for 6 hours, nurse checking my Blood pressure every 15 minutes as it crashed and thought I was going to pass out! Was not allowed out of bed and 3 times needed to wee and each time brought a bottle, and wait for it? Each time managed to wee the bed, wet my pants (pleased I took 4 pairs of Pants with me) wet my surgical gown and hardly any went in the bottle!!!! 3 times was lifted by the nurses to a clean bed. And cleaned myself then At 10pm was allowed to sit in the chair next to the bed for 1 hour, then at 11pm was allowed to go to the toilet and sit down for a wee whilst the nurse stood watching through the open door and could I pee? = No! I was allowed to walk about at midnight. My back was so painful with laying for 6 hours. Doctor came next morning at 10am and said as not in pain and not had any bleeding then I could go home. So rang Richard at 10.15am and waited till the discharge paperwork was done - that took nearly 3 hours!!!
Did not sleep much last night, in and out of bed, as kept rolling over onto my right side and it hurts/sore. Not to lift or carry anything for 7 days. And not to Shower or get dressing wet until I have seen my GP = saw GP this afternoon and he says I can have a Shower tomorrow. Been having strip washes but it is not the same, as I don't feel clean. All I have is some bruising and soreness and having Cat Naps on the sofa watching TV and being fussed over far too much. William x:)
Sorry late posting couldn't get on this thread till today!!! Sounds like You had ot a bit rough, but hopefully all is well now & you can get back on your feet, glad Richard was there to help you, just take it easy & don't rush, take care & get well soon, & many thanks for all the help you've given me since I joined, you've been great help & much appreciated. Lots of hugs x

Hi Liam. Hope your feeling well, no I never took those tablets, been suffering terribly , toes are burning, spoke to pharmacist she recommended I checked with doctor as they can be hard to get of being used for depression, got appiontment with doctor end of this month but the doctor I'm seeing is c..p! He never checked me when my troubles started & he's supposed to be a specialist. So I'm not hopeful, so I will talk with dn also early October when I have my annual review, so many meds got Side effects, used to use certain asthma sprays, only use one now, as they caused a bleed in my throat once & had to have speach & breathing lessons!!! Yeh really messed my voice up kept having trouble talking & stuttering, Treating myself tonight to small 95% chocolate & g&t. Just tested bgs 9.9!!!! Shocked. Anyway hope you feel very good soon take care & take it easy, hugs to you both

@Liam1955 stupid me just realised I haven't taken my meds tonight! Probsbly old age forgetting .

Nah, I always blame the Diabetes and not age for forgetting things. I love G&T's and would love 1 or 2, but better not open the bottle of Gin. Last drink I had was glass of Red Wine in May. (Not a big drinker really). And I am waiting for results from the Biopsy on my Liver - the Hospital said it would be 14 days before I hear anything.
I don't know what else to suggest for the Neuropathic Pain in your Feet and Toes! Does your Practise Surgery have other GP's that you could see? Maybe you could ask for a referral to see a Specialist?
9.9 is not too bad Maureen! We are all given set figures to aim for. Mine is 4 - 7 before Meals and no more than 9 after 2 hours, but I do try to keep it under 10. Just checked mine and it is = 10.3, but I ate a Crunchie Bar whilst watching Casualty this evening. And I am going to bed now, so Good Night and have a Restful and Pleasant Sleep. Chat again soon. W:)

Impossible to see anyone or be referred to anyone at our surgery they dont care! Don't usually drink but very stressed past few months, my numbers are pretty much same as you I suppose tried getting info from our doctor or dn is trying to get blood out of a stone, seriously they don't care, I've got my annual test in October, probably shy high, anyway have good day hope your feeling better today & hopefully get good results from your liver biopsy

18/9/16 - Good Afternoon Everyone.:)
Only got up at 11am, however, had been up twice during the early hours and both times had something to eat: Cheese, Onion and Mustard Sarnie's and second time I ate 2 bags of Crisps! At 11am my Blood sugar was 6.7 and that was before any Insulin and Metformin. :)

@ Liam. Good afternoon to you to. Liam what crisps do you eat? I'm on metformin in & gluclazide, I love crisps but unsure about eating them. Have a good day

Afternoon everyone.
Watching football after fighting with little one to have his nap after terrorizing us all.
Have had some cereal with flaxseed and Brazil nut shaving mix from holland & barrett which is full of CoQ10, ala, magnesium and selenium nutrients in.
I have had very little insulin so will need a jab before bed.
Sunderland are losing 1-0 at mo @Cumberland . I hope they at least equalize. Neither wonder I watch Chelsea too. ;)
Looking forward to tomorrow. First nursery full day. It's been long time coming. Boy has it dragged.
Nappy free and fully toilet trained. Shame his temper isn't. Firey little thing. Very very active. God help them! :)

Just come on the Forum, Sorry @maureen5752 not answered before now. As a rule I don't eat Crisps - my favourite snacks are Cheesy Wotsits but not got any bought in. The Crisps are Richard's and there were Cheese and Onion flavour, have checked the bag and it says:
Per bag = 1.1g of Sugar. And 15g of Carbohydrate per bag.
His Flame Grilled Steak Crisps are: same Carbohydrate per bag but the sugar content is less = 0.7g.
Wx:)
