GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

Good evening friends

Biggest of my hugs to those of you not 100% in fact big hugs to all of ya

I taped that prog on diabetes last night but what I'm reading on threads on here I'm a bit squeamish

Good Afternoon Friends. I hope you are all well and for those that are not (((((((((everyoneelse)))))))))

Good Evening Folks. :)
R and I went out to Pocklington and had a good look around the Charity Shops (all 6 of them). Then stopped off on the way home to York at the Balloon Tree Cafe just outside Stamford Bridge. I gave in and had a slice of Carrot Cake and a Hot Chocolate with whipped cream that was at 4pm.
All I have had today was: 2 mugs of Dandelion Tea, plus 2 large glasses of Water with lemon juice, for early lunch at 12 noon 1 Latte and 2 slices of Brown Seeded Bread toasted with butter, and then the snack at 4pm - and going to have Cheese on Toast at 7pm. Blood Sugar now is = 7.8!:shifty:

@ickihun - Good Afternoon Vicky :).
Yeah, you are right. We are not all as it should be by the text books. But, I feel a lot of these Doctors/Specialists/Consultants really should take a long look at themselves - preferably in the mirror before they start criticising us people.
There is far too much going on in the media about weight! Winter is just about upon us and we all need a little bit of body fat to keep warm. I will loose some weight but on my terms and slowly too. And anybody else who cares to mention weight loss to me from now on? I am just going to switch off.
On Monday Evening R and I going out to Cosmo (eat all you want place for a set price. I had my 60th there for 16 guests last year). Anyway, we are meeting up with long time friends of R's when stopping off in York for 1 day on their way up north to the Lakes. And I am going to "pig out" on plates of Scampi - won't have any Alcohol, but will force a dessert or two!! :D William x

A'rtnoon All.... are we all well? :) Hugs to those who don't feel too grand today:)

You go for it William , wish these doctors / specialists lived in our shoes and see what we have to go through each day . Like I keep telling Ron he has nothing to prove to these circus clowns and it makes me really angry when he quote "jumps through hoops " to prove a point to them. At the moment hes put his diabetes care on hold till doctors find out what's causing all his other problems.

@Liam1955 just be happy and have fun. Life is too short. Try your best to live a happy life eating well. None of us will live forever even when we're being good. My barrister friend taught me that.
After your blow out you will feel recharged enough to make some changes. I need to eat milkshakes or restrict my food to 600cals til I die. I'd rather die now. I'd be living like I'm in a concentration camp. Starvation is the only solution for me (bariatric surgery). Then once I stop the weight adding starts again. Then back to square one. I'm not ready to be so aggressive with my eating William. To solve my obesity. Diabetes is managed well. Even dn said as much. These 2 things are independant of each other but medics have always blammed weight for everything. I took slimming tablets to do ivf but as soon as I stopped taking them on pilled the weight. Appetite suppressants. I was desperate for a baby William.

@Cumberland - Hi Ian :). If you are not blood thirsty and/or like gory details? = Don't watch the Panarama programme. But it is interesting to watch, maybe get your Wife to watch it first? (I believe your Wife is a Nurse?) I just love watching Blood, Guts and Gore etc :D
@ickihun - Vicky, I understand that Women will go to the extreme's to have a Baby. I have met You and You are such a kind, caring and lovable but crazy person - but, that's why we get on!:D As to the Bariatric Surgery, when it's done there is no going back. But, the woman on the programme it worked for her. Would you Vicky seriously have the Surgery?
Agree with you @tina_marie - like it 'Circus Clowns' :D:D = must remember to think that when I am getting a Lecture from a Medical Person next time.
How is @mo53 and @ellagy this afternoon?
And how is @eldergarth - Ron today? Now that the Clonazepam has been increased how are you feeling?

Hello Liam1955, I am good thanks, two dogs on me (one under the shawl) and a hubby snoring!

@ellagy - Hello :). What are your blood sugars like during the day and in the Evening? I am assuming you test throughout the day also? And do you follow the LCHF Diet?

I do follow the LCHF... isn't it wonderful! ... 12.4 at 8.30 this morning and 11.3 before lunch. Most evenings are lower, 8.8 last night. I am sleeping better.... I had about 12hrs last night (apologies to those with sleep problems :( ) actually I could have a sleep problem... I never seem to have enough :)

@ellagy - It does not work for everybody, but, have you tried having a protein snack for supper? When I remember I have Cheese & crackers or Plain Greek Yoghurt around 11.30pm to midnight and the following morning I usually have a Low fasting number. @ickihun got me into this supper thing, but it doesn't work for everybody as I have said. But, it could be something that might work for you?
It has to be Protein Supper and not Carbs, not fruit and not milky stuff.

Talking about food - Off to start prepping Evening Meal Folks, will chat later. :)
