Thank goodness for that mate!
Here's to a painfree Christmas. :) :) :)
Hospital gave me codeine with seperate paracetmol which worked wonders for my pelvis and back.
I'm calling gp to see if I can have the same for over Christmas. :)

Late Afternoon Folks,
Went for a lay down after pain relief (double dose of Morphine) and boy I was out for the count for a good 3 hours. R is just pulling up outside - he has spent longer in the City than I thought. He heard the kettle boiling!! I'm sure.
That is Good News Ron - @eldergarth on getting your Pain Relief sorted out, let's hope this drug gives you some comfort and relief - constant pain is draining on one's physical and mental being. William.

Not amused. And you'll identify with this, @Liam1955....

I went for my podiatry appointment this morning, all chirpy because I work hard to keep my feet in pretty good shape, and the dopey bint set about my toe with her scalpel - quite unnecessarily. The next thing I knew - owww! - there was blood everywhere and she was berating me for having been too enthusiastic with my foot file, thus encouraging the blood vessels to rise too near to the surface!!

No apology, just a lecture. I stayed calm, but I was steaming!!

I'll tell you what - if I get an infection in that foot, I'm going to sue! It's still bleeding a bit now - 5 hours later.

:grumpy:

Off out for our family Christmas meal and exchanging cards etc.
Seeing gp about swellings tomorrow.

I thought you weren't supposed to take codeine and co-codamol together (because co-codamol already has codeine in it)......?

Oh @debrasue - that is absolutely disgraceful. I think a lot of these Podiatrist not only need to take refresher courses on how to cut Diabetic people's toe nails, and while their at it: Learn how to accept t h e blame a nd Apologise.
Get your Hubby to take a photograph, Richard took a picture of mine with a dressing on.
Stick your foot out of the bed tonight as it will Throb!!! William x

I'm going to ask to see all their certificates before I let any more of them anywhere near my feet! And if they're not up-to-date, they can do one!

Oh god! These people need to come with a health warning.I think i'll manage with mr ickihuns help instead. :banghead:

Gp's suggestion not mine. He knows I'm struggling and I already have co-codamol in and some codeine from child birth pain relief.
Hospital gave me codeine and paracetamol without checking what time I last took co-codamol. Mind u I had been in more than 4hrs.
My co-codamol is 16mg (8mgx2) codeine and you can take 60mg codeine every 4 hrs, I think. Codeine I have is 30mg so total I'm taking is 46mg. I've only just started to take codeine and seeing gp tomorrow for swellings.

Lovely to see you @Cumberland .
I'm going to miss some of our virtual Christmas party :bigtears: I'm having a scan, on a Sunday! Of all the Sundays it has to be my Christmas party one! I'm gutted. I'll pop in thread early instead then hopefully much later, if not asleep. Fingers crossed and toes crossed. Boo hoo! :arghh:

All the best for Sunday Vicky.x

I've taken video footage of my swollen tum for gp to see tomorrow if having stage fright. Swollen mostly on a night, but thankfully not every night. My kidneys are working well.
I look like I'm about to give birth. Bump from under ribcage. Mind u I'm never hungry as a result so... I've lost weight from yesterday. Well that was this mornings scales reading but I've added more than 10lb now. Must be mostly fluid and Christmas meal. (No alcohol or sweet).
