Dont know if anyone watched this morning but there was an interview with the husband of lady brought back from the brink and not expected to survive. He and their daughters were invited to come in and offered PPE to say goodbye. The photo of them showed a couple probably in their 40s and she didnt look overweight, certainly not obese. He begged the Dr to try anything, even left of field, to give her a chance. What they did was proning (putting her on her front which taks pressure off lungs but increases pressure on heart) she hung on and after a couple of days there was a slight improvement. That was many weeks ago and she did survive is slowly recovering at home and was off camera. One of the most interesting things he said was she had a high level of acid in her blood which is more likely with a T1than a T2. I wondered if any of you learned people have anything to comment on that.

interesting post @PenguinMum

never saw that.

had seen the pronating discussed as a good and simply therapeutic.

so was aware of the ling benefits didn't hear of the strain to heart.

be interesting to see that excess acid debated if any is aware.

the virus seems to have many twists and turns, as they start to unravel it.

Did they say what the test was to show the high level of acid?

Respiratory Acidosis is caused by a build up of CO2 due to the lungs not working efficiently. So not really surprising that the blood was more acid and probably not related to diabetes.

Ah thats interesting...just reporting what the husband said on camera so dont know if he was told that it was Diabetes related at the hospital or he came to his own conclusion.
