Hello ...
Im not so 'hip' on the computor Im afraid....Just wanted to introduce myself as Imanda, I have an 8 year old daughter with type 1 insulin dependant diabetes, she was diagnozed in 2005. I am really looking forward to chatting and sharing our experiances.... Thank you

Welcome to the Forum. Have a good look around and ask questions or just share experiences with us.

There is the Diabetes Youth Club and also T1 sections which may be of benefit to you.

The Youth Club is where many of the Mom's and Dad's 'hang out' and you will get much help and support there. They usually pop in at various times and I am sure will welcome you in due course.
 
Hi Imanda and welcome to the forum :) There are lots of mums on here who will love to share their experiences with you. Have a good read around and ask any questions you want. Your experience will be very useful to other mums on the forum.

I'm Type 2 so can't share your experiences, but there are lots of people on here in your situation and you'll get lots of tips and support. I think there's also a Youth Club which you might find interesting.

Hello again, I wanted to ask if anyone can recomend a suitable insulin pen which my daughter could manage as she has the novo nordisk ones at present and it is impossible for her to push the insulin in as her hands are too small. Can I get it on perscription or will I have to buy ?
