does anyone know where I can buy ground hazelnuts? - I don't have a food prosessor or anything that would be strong enough to grind them right down - need them for my low carb roularde for Easter!

Thanks in advance :)

Have you tried looking in the baking section of supermarkets, good home baking shops and health food stores. If you just do a search online using the keywords 'ground hazelnuts' you will also find suppliers.

Thanks Ken for your quick reply :) - have tried supermarkets (Tesco & Morrisons) and H&B - have tried on line too but they wouldn't get to me in time :( - lots of places have minimum spend too - I only want 100g! - Does anyone know if Julian Graves or Sainsbury sell them? - I need to travel a few miles to get them from these places.

I have a hand blender would that be strong enough does anyone know - just had it a couple of weeks so don't want to jigger it up!

I use a coffee grinder for nuts, I picked up a second hand one from a charity shop for a couple of quid and it's still going strong 15 years later - I think nuts are softer than roasted coffee beans. The oil in nuts means the grounds tend to stick together in clumps but they break up very easily with a fork. I use kitchen roll and a toothbrush to keep the grinder clean, you have to be careful to get the oil off to stop it going rancid.
