Thanks for the reply you really have been through the mill and yet reman so positive .
If it's an iodine allergy can they not test for that ... with people so much more litigious now a days you think it would be worth their while? I suppose as you say it's quite rare to have a problem so perhaps isn't worth THEIR while.
It seems like a good idea to use less dye suppose it makes sense to only use the minimum required
Maybe esting would be more dangerous? I have no idea. I just know that hese angiograms ae used so often for somany different conditions and problems are still so very rare it doesnt seem worthwhile. No procedure is without risk.
To be honest I am so positive about it all because in some ways it is the least of my worries! I know what is wrong with me. I know what the available treatments are and I know how i react to them . I know that there is nothing more i can do about my diabetes control.
I can well remeber the fear i once felt about all these procedures. I have even been almost totally blind on occasions and i could now, accept a certain degree of sight loss.
I jknow i would ot cope with blindness . Although my options are limited no one is considering giving up on me.
In common with everyone else I have hings in my life which are much less sraightforward and about which i can do nothing.
I am thankful that i am not ,as ye, coping with too much in the way of other medical conditions.
I came to terms with the retinopathy problems far more easily than with he diabetes for example. Something to do with having , n the whle , more intelligent and better qualified medical help than is usually available to T2s in the local Practice.
There are actually much worse things although the initial diagnosis of a potentially sigh -threatenig condition is a terrible shock
