Have you ever wished so hard for something that you ended up getting it?

That would probably rather depend on what it is you're wishing for.

Which reminds me of a story my sister told me. At work her and a colleague were brewing up in the break room and must have been talking about other people in the department and every time they did, that person magically appeared, cutting their conversation short and they both noticed this.

So they immediately started gossiping enthusiastically about Hugh Jackman and George Clooney. :p

I believe if you want something realy bad and wish for it daily then it just might happen......eventually good things will come your way if meant to be :) aww your dog is so gorgeous all cuddly ;)

I am still wishing for something and have done for a few years.........................................and still looking for it :)

I have wished for several things at one time or another: if or when I've got them it has been for a variety of reasons - sometimes luck, sometimes working hard if they're things that require money to acquire, sometimes, with hindsight, because it was always going to happen and luck didn't come into it.

On a couple of occasions (though by no means all), I have then come to understand the truth behind the old adage of being careful what you wish for, in case you get it  ;)

Wishing got me nothing. Fate did. So did hard work. Happy with that .....

Apart from a lottery win so that I could help my family , I don't really want anything . We live in a lovely area , have family close at hand, have two great dogs, health could be better but then, we are blessed really x

I don't wish for money, just a nice someone to share my life with. I wouldn't do it before because of teen being young. Now she is growing up, well it would be nice one day :) so off to do more a cosmic ordering service wish ( hasn't done anything so far lol) .

I will be honest, don't wish for anything now, just take what life throws at me. I am cosy in life and get by and that is all I need and want.

Can I just say one thing - internet dating - loads of friends and aquaintances have done and lots have ended up with lifelong partners.
Just do it!

If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all!!

What do I want to wish for?

I want my missus to be healthier, as I know it will never happen

Want my kids to have what I had to work hard for to give to them and good long healthier lives.

Want my grandkids to provide me with great grandkids before I pop my clogs.

Want my footie team a bright future.

And to be a pain in the **** to the rest of the world except my family!

I was born into poverty, never had nowt, everything I have I earned,.

The only thing I really wish for is that the world has peace and equality in everything.

Infinite diversity in infinite combinations.

Is it really too much to have that? To be treated as equals?

A wish is by definition for something unattainable. I'm with @nomistheman on this.

Don't wish - dream then visualise then take action.

The mind is a truly powerful tool. The subconscious does not know what is true - it believes whatever you tell it. Self talk can be your own worst enemy or your best friend.

What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

LUCK = Labour Under Correct Knowledge.

Mr Blondie says there is no such thing as luck, he says it is preparation meeting opportunity.
I really really need good weather today for a party with a bouncy castle so I'm scuppered aren't I????

Have to smiles at some of the above posts...what a happy lot we are ..chuckles :)

I've always said that what Bryan Ferry needs is well rounded mature woman, but that hasn't happened yet. Son once texted me to say he'd seen BF near Libertys in London, was really annoyed with him that he didn't give him my number. Talk about missed opportunity!:D
