So I’m off to the shard for birthday meal with friend tomorrow.
I’m also having my 3 monthly bloods on Monday.
If I relax a bit for the meal will it completely screw up my hbaic abs other tests or is it too late and won’t make a difference at this point?

It won't make a lot of difference to your result. Enjoy your meal.

Great thank you. my hba1c is going to be mucked up anyway as off meds and even with same diet my sugars are higher. But don’t want to add fuel to the fire and make it even worse by a meal so close

Back on the diet after the meal!!!! I struggle with my results so I feel for you. If I didn't eat I would be fine but anything raises my glucose, arghhh.

Happy birthday, enjoy your meal and the view. X

If you are having your lipids done at the same time remember to fast for those.

I say relax, Enjoy
and remember life is about living
and making memories is a BIG part of our story.

Happy Birthday.

I am just coming up to 3 years since diagnosis, and I would be able to eat a 'normal' meal, though I would avoid bread and potatoes if I could, as they increase my weight - presumably it is 'water weight' from carbs being stashed away, and it would be gone in a week at the most, but I'd not feel quite right for a day or so. Quite honestly, I'd prefer to avoid high carb foods as it is simply the wrong fuel for my body.
When I do 'relax a bit' I tend to have something extravagant rather than some boring stodge - though these days I share it around or do not eat all of it.

It’s my friends birthday not mine.
