Hba1c finally

After waiting since begining of August when I had my anual review I’ve got my hba1c at last which is 86 no idea what that is, I know it high if someone can convert this please.

Hello,
if you go to the home page, at the bottom there is a section on blood glucose unit conversion. If you click on that, one of the conversion tools is for HbA1C.
 
Yes, that is high - you need to adjust either the medication or the diet to bring down the BG levels as they could be up in the high teens as mine were at diagnosis - my Hba1c was 91 and random BG test 17.1 mmol/l

An IFCC hba1c of 86mmol/mol converts to:
  • A DCCT hba1c of 10%
  • An equivalent average blood sugar of 13.3mmol/l
I believe you incorrectly tried to convert your 86mmol/mol result into mmol/l by putting it in a box intended to convert mg/dL (the American blood sugar measurement) into mmol/l and that is how you got 4.6.
