Wow, that is a phenomenal reduction, very well done!Hey all
After scores of 83, then 66, my score this week was…..
34!!
I’ve been eating low carb/high fat/high protein since May, and have also lost over 2 and a half stone. However my daily target is to keep my bloods in the 4-7 zone. Any weight loss is just a bonus.
Wanted to post an update in the hope of inspiring newbies that going low carb really can work.
Next step will be to come off the meds and see if diet control is enough to keep my scores down.
All I have done is avoid food with carbs over 10g per 100g. I don’t weigh, limit or get hungry.
YES I miss biscuits and cake. But I just say to myself: my body can’t process that; I am intolerant of too many carbs.
Very grateful for the start-up support from this forum. Thanks guys!!
Yes! Coconut chips are fantastic!!I don’t seem to have a problem with the sweet stuff now as if I’ve nicked a taste they’re too sweet(never thought I’d say that!). It’s those sausage rolls that are tempting me now!! Just because they are there! Any suggestions for something to just grab and snack, besides nuts and cheese?
Though you might say they were nuts?Yes! Coconut chips are fantastic!!

What a stunning result! Very well done, and an inspiration to many I'm sure.
I also have a lot more hot drinks than used to. My cupboard is now full of herbal tea varieties.
My carb eating husband (and son) have strict "own tin" rules. They can have whatever they want in their tins and I have my lc goodies in my tins. Neither of us is even allowed to look in the others tins. For me their contraband has to be out of sight.Well done, I’m a couple of months behind you but doing the same thing. How do you get on when carbs are calling. My horror of a husband has left cocktail sausage rolls in kitchen they spike me and I’m sorely tempted!
Slap those little hands lol as those little fingers will be reaching for them! My husband used to be terrible for leaving things out for me to steal! Now he too has gone lchf and has gone from 21 stone to just under 16.7 in 3 months. He is not diabetic but saw my weight plummet and decided to do something about his health too.Well done, I’m a couple of months behind you but doing the same thing. Wish mine would. He is diabetic as well and won’t even consider trying low carbs. He used to love a cooked breakfast now won’t, even if I was to cook it for him. It’s the “diet”part that sends him running!Slap those little hands lol as those little fingers will be reaching for them! My husband used to be terrible for leaving things out for me to steal! Well he may get to a point where he just does it. My hubby was dead against it even if I stated the obvious, "well it will not be fair to me or the kids if anything happens to you - I would just crumble without you". I was being completely honest and then one day he just dropped the cakes, bread, potatoes, pasta, pitza, fizzy sugar free and all fizzy drinks etc and started eating lchf! I think he realised he already had other medical issues that were being compounded by his weight and if I could do it he could. He has always had more will power than me anyway. He is looking so much better. Hubby says its not a diet he has just cut downWish mine would. He is diabetic as well and won’t even consider trying low carbs.
