Hba1c success

5 years after diagnosis and having done well initially I'm back in the normal range. In year three I rediscovered booze and kebabs and the hba1c went into 3 figures. Last year I became a dad again, which was a shock as the other children are in their 20's and I resolved to get my ass in gear. In may it was down to 89 but I wasn't losing weight. I hit the gym and lost 15kg by September and hba1c came down to 59. I then started the 800 calories Newcastle diet and I've so far lost another 17kg, hba1c is now 39. I still have weight to lose and fitness to improve.

Another fine example of what a regime can do, with an excellent maintenance plan.

Very well done. @yiannis_ . In order to make any change, and indeed sustain that change we each need our own, personal motivator. It sounds like yours was delivered by a stork. :)

More seriously; very well done, and good luck for 2017.
