Can I ask what low carb stuff works well n an actifry? I am really hoping that you say delicious low carb chips. I really really reallly miss chips.
If there is something I" really really miss " and its proper food as opposed to junk food, then my personal mantra is that I can have some now and again, but if I do I must do it sensibly - so for example I did have fish and chips - but the chips were the proper large wedge fresh cooked in proper lard variety not the packaged stuff. I ate the meal before I was going to do a lot of exercise and I left it for a long time before I ate again. I guess I've eaten chips maybe three times in the last year.
My thinking is that if I allow myself this kind of treat occasionally, then maybe I will find it easier to stick to the whole way of life long term.
Other things I think just have to be gone for good - ie crunchies - which I can't equate to being worth the effort.
Interestingly my young non diabetic friend who is wearing a libre came home astonished yesterday, her blood sugars stay rock solid around 4. Yesterday she ate one boiled sugar sweet ( about 5 g) her blood glucose shot upto 8.5 before coming back down. Its clear that humans are "Very " sensitive to sugar even in minimal quantities .
