I’m trying to get mine down, it was 42mol last time I tested, I sent off a test this morning and I’m hoping it isn’t any higher but I had a long and foolish spell of very carby eating, bread, cereal, and loads of milk chocolate. Just loads of rubbish in general.
I bought a blood sugar meters and a book about how to reduce T2D and did exactly what it said. I’ve gone back to it again andbat the moment I’m testing before and at least 90 minutes after every meal I eat.
I made a spreadsheet and record every single I eat, it is time consuming andbbor8ng and boring but it lets me see exactly which foods spike my blood sugar and I it encourages me not to be so silly again. .
I did it some years ago when I developed steroid induced T2D and I found that not only did my BS go back to normal but I lost weight because I wasn’t eating so many carbs.
I was still eating carbs but I made much better choices. I also discovered that anything with grain spiked my BS as did things I thought were good choices likev healthy jacket potato and parsnip soup Obviously they weren’t for my body.
I agree, this is a great site - you can learn so much on here.
