Has anyone ever tried hyperbaric chamber oxygen therapy for retinal ischaemia and macular oedema. On researching it seems to have fantastic results and is used in other eye conditions too and has even given folk their sight back. Im still at the sceptical stage but think I would try anything tbh. Probably not available on NHS but if it works sessions wd be ideal xmas presents for my family to buy me or.contribute to. Worth investigating I think.

I don't know anything about it's effectiveness for retinopathy.
A few years ago we had a member who was an orthopaedic Surgeon . He was considering it for his foot (neuropathy/osteomyellitis)
Here's what he wrote
I am holding off the hyberbaric oxygen therapy for the moment- but that has been approved if needed (£36,000). Costing us all a fortune at the moment. But glad to be back at work.

He was still considering a year later

This was back in 2007/8, I suppose the cost might have come down (certainly worth investigating) Otherwise It would be too expensive for most people. :(
