I bought crab sticks thinking they are made from fish so should be healthy. But they do contain a lot of sugar.Crab sticks.

I'm trying to shift us as a family towards low carb - husband also type 2 and we are both overweight. 3 young people living at home - no weight issues but good time to learn healthy eating.
I am also wanting to shift more towards vegetarian/vegan lifestyle (shame as I love meat - but it is making me feel unwell at the moment, so I might just keep it as a special treat occasionally!).
I did a good lunch - omelette and I didn't have bread or potatoes to go with it.
By about 4pm I had that huge hole in the tummy empty feeling and had nothing with which to fill it other than carb laden food!
Not sure if this is the right forum or not - I think it is as it is to do with low carb.

Any ideas please (cheap and easy to do being a key factor!)
Cheers ,did not know that, have not bought them since before I was diagnosed and just assumed they would be ok, but I do check all labels these days so hopefully would have been ok...........
Also have been known to dump a jar of tuna in a bowl with some mayo as a quick snack....
