If it was me with those units and mml I would be changing the dosage as you suggest.

Agree with DD that you need to make the adjustment at 4am.

Thanks for everyone's help so far.

Last night I went to bed with no food and no active insulin (ffinally!), and here's how it went:

Current basal rates:
00:00 = 1.000
03:00 = 1.100
05:00 = 1.300
06:00 = 0.900
08:00 = 0.600

10:44pm = 5.7
2:00am = 6.5
4:39am = 5.3
6:29am = 3.6

Based on these results, should I change 05:00 to 1.200?
I would reduce 0300 and 0500 to 1.00u/hr. You don't have enough information to change the 0600 rate. As DD said the biggest impact on your blood sugar is from the rate about two hours earlier.

I would also be amending the 2am by a small amount too. If your pump does 0.01 changes I would be doing a 0.02 lower but if it only does it in 0.05 increments I would lower the 2am by 0.05 as well as you dropped by more than 1 bg in those 21/2hrs.

After sorting out the drops I would then look at the slight increase from 10.45 to 2am but I wouldn't do this until the drops were eliminated.

By the way your readings from 10:44pm to 4:39am are within ±10% of a straight line at 6.0 mmol/L. So don't be tempted to see any pattern there or change anything unless you get more confidence, eg see the same pattern three nights in a row.

A 0.8mmol/L drop in 2 2/3 hrs, so 0.3 mmol/L /hr.
I thought that too but then I remembered it might just be normal variation in meter readings from one to the next. If I had a solid CGM trace between these values, or if I had 3 days of data with the same pattern, I would adjust. Otherwise not.

I would be taking into account that this was a weekend test and may be different on going back to weekdays....

Good suggestion by Spiker as I would be altering my weekend basal profile not my weekday one. I may give a 2nd night of testing before I make the changes and I would be testing at 1.30, 3.30 and 5.30 on the 2nd night

Similar thinking spiker!! I forgot it is effectively still a weekend (at least to me) so this can impact on folk that work or at school etc...

This was a week day test as I'm in New Zealand :)

As OP hasnt got a 4am basal slot......might be best to adjust the 3am one first of all as thst will effect the other time slots making bg a bit higher

From the look of it her pump would allow adding a 4am slot and that might well be the best thing.

Ok, have just looked back at your previous figures too.. I would be changing tonight....However that is me... I've been pumping nigh on 5 years so know my reactions to a tee!!
As you are quite new it may be advisable to do a 2nd night as Spiker suggests.
I am a bit too relaxed about amending my own doses as I know my own reactions and lifestyle so well.

So I'm trying to take all of this information and adjust my basal rates but I'm struggling lol.

Should I just change 03:00 to 1.000 (same as 00:00 rate) and keep 05:00 at 1.300 OR should I keep the 03:00 rate at 1.100 but then add a new rate at 04:00 of 1.200?

Agree with DD, your previous night's data confirm the drop after 4am.

Can your pump
Only change by full
0.10 doses or do anything smaller like 0.05 or 0.02 changes?

Then I would be doing
changes of 0.05 lower and setting up
the 3am and 4am to 1.05 per hour.

I would not be changing 5am. (Unless you have figures for 7.30 or 8.30 ish am!!!)
