Hi folks I'm Chaz from Fife on the east coast of Scotland

I had a blood test done on the 8th Dec which I got the results for on Friday, although I now need a full blood screen and an H1 ???? test, which is being done on tuesday, the diabetic nurse has said that I am most probably diabetic as my result was 11.5 ???
I realise this means lifestyle changes especially as i am 28 stones, but I'm pretty daunted by it all so i'll be looking for some advice if someone is willing to give it.
I look forward to chatting with you soon

Kind Regards

Chaz

Hi Chaz,

The first bit of advice that I give to any Type 2 such as myself is to cut down on the starchy carbohydrate that you eat - i.e. cereals, bread, potatoes mainly but also be careful of pasta and rice etc too. That usually leads to a big and quick improvement in blood glucose levels.

Best wishes - John
