For the past week I have been in the 200s ALL the time and it's driving me crazy! I'm taking the correct amount of insulin, or so I thought, so I have no idea why I've been so high.
Are you ill ? Has your diet stayed the same ? Stopped exercising ? Could be so many things. It may be that your insulin:carb ratio has changed. I would kerp a diary of everything you eat and inject for a couple of weeks.
Could have done yes. You may have only felt the symptoms for a few days but may have affected your body longer than that as it tried to fight off infection or whatever before you even noticed it. Monitor your levels and hopefully they will soon stabilise. If not, your meds may need adjusting. Good luck.

For the last two weeks I have had to increase my insulin by fifty percent for both background and quick acting insulin. My colleagues husband had exactly the same the month before. We reckon it's a bug but don't know what.
