If you dont start coming down within 2hrs of ur last novorapid injection. You need to consider a&e.

You last novorapid .. Was that correction doage only or did u eat as well?

Hi
24u of novorapid is quite a lot of bolus. Have you eaten food with that amount? Usually when bg levels are very high, it can take a bit for them to start lowering so wait another 20mins and if no joy, then phone the nhs, test for keytones if hou can and start to drink some water which will help flush the sugar out through yr urine. Also, unless you are sure that the insulin is ok, make sure yr pen is ok and use new cartridges

Hi, if u cant check for ketones then i would pop to hospital if u are feeling ill , just to be on the safe side:)

Within 2 hrs if you havent ate u should see levels dropping if you are correcting n equipment working properly.if not consider a&e.

If you bolus'd a correction properly without eating and after 5 hours you are not under 15, then let us know.

If you are dropping really fast then you must check your bloods regularly.... Do not risk a hypo...

Hi. Do take the advice of the other posters. Are you overweight? The very large insulin shots imply insulin resistance thru excess weight (I may be wrong). Apart from handling this emergency you may need to review your diet, particularly holding the carbs down, to try to break the cycle?
