    Not posted for a while and this morning went for my diabetic checkup with diabetic consultant and good news I won't see her again for a year.

    Now off insulin all together and on x2 Metformin tablets a day.

    No need to take anymore readings.

    Hbc1a is 37

    Cholesterol are:
    HDL = 3.7
    LDL = 1.49
    Triglycerides = 1.8

    Not sure if cholesterol is good or not. Shall research later .She did mention statins but told her I am not taking them ever.

    So all is good. Need to keep carbs down and don't eat junk food

    Wonderful results, @PeterHud. Such an inspirational story. Congrats on coming off insulin and a non-diabetic HbA1c.

    Here is a link to a cholesterol calculator, which might help with the interpretation of your results: http://www.hughcalc.org/chol-si.php

    Fantastic news.

    I'd still keep an eye on blood glucose readings if that is what you were told to not need to check anymore.
