How do you record your blood sugar results?

Wow...just tested my self ...before lunch 7.4.... Omg lol....
We'll just had call from DNS ...she just seen email of my data ...she wants me in tomorrow morning ...oh dear lol

U should see my stats for last two weeks .....it's bad lol ...that is second time in two weeks I have been below 13 lol

I used to use Medivo which was free and did the job. Now using Mynetdiary with the subscription so I can track pretty much everything in one place.

Using the software that came with my pump.

I have a Bayer Contour Next and it keeps the last 800 test results, and can give me basic averages for fasting , pre and post meal, and overall results over four different time periods, which I find very helpful.
I can also upload results via usb cable to the (free) Bayer Glucofacts software on my PC. Previously with my Contour XT I wasn't able to upload, so kept a little notebook, and I started entering these into a mysql database - a rather time consuming exercise, which is still not complete.

I did give our practice diabetes doctor a graph last summer, but he wasn't particularly interested as "type 2s don't need to test" :banghead:

Robbity

PS The Glucofacts software is mainly set up for type 1/insulin users, and has options for all sorts of info (that I doin't actually need or use), but I believe it's quite comprehensive.

I use the Bayer website and find it very useful. I know where I am with my targets. Yes, you are right the drs in the main don't have an interest in glucose printouts whether T1 or T2

your diet must be really good..............

low carb..........?

Relatively low carb. Averaging around 80 to 100 per day. But trying to be balanced and the app is good as I can make sure not eating too much fat. I like the odd piece of cake and glass of wine. Have to have a bit of a life ;-)

I check carbs with my carb app. I eat what I like and like what I eat. Btw red wine has no carbs.

I know my meter will record things for me and that I can generate reports whenever I want but find that if I leave things on a computer I tend not to look at them very much. Because of this I just use the log book that came with my meter and a moleskin notebook that I keep my food records in. This helps identify trends in the short much easier.

Having done the DAFNE Course I use their Blood Glucose Monitoring Diary which I keep with my insulins pens etc, it's always to hand. The Dafne people also e-mailed a spreadsheet which shows daily readings etc and the BSs reading line changes colour for readings below 4 mmols, 4-8 mmols 8mmols plus. The DAFNE course is excellent....go for it ask your DSN about it.

I can second that. DAFNE is great

I just want a decent recording function on the Libre. It tracks all my BS data (and I should enter my insulin into it - I do when I'm doing a test run to get some decent data), but none of these apps include Protein intake, which is as important as Carbs when you're eating as low carb as I am. If you look at my Carb v Insulin numbers, it looks like my ratio is 1u:7.5g, when the reality is that it is 1u:11.25g.

The result is that it will either be paper or a spreadsheet for me to do it correctly.

It doesn't work out insulin ratios, but the Diabeties:M app allows you to input carbs, protein and fat content. It also has a calculator that allows you to select extended bolus for proten and fat and it gives you times to inject to cover protein and fat.

Interesting.... Might have to take a look and provide some feedback.

Aww thats a shame! It's pretty good and sounds like similar to what you were looking for.

I use the Diabetes Connect app - search for 'diaconnect' on the app store.

Pretty good really.

I was wondering about DAFNE; how long has it been going? When I was first diagnosed I was taught carb counting (back in the last century) and may have gone on a course many moons ago - is that possible? When did they start becoming a standard?

Best
