How do you record your blood sugar results?

Hi I've just started on an accu chek insight pump, my levels were pretty good before when I was injecting long and short acting insulin but I wanted to get my control even tighter,

I was just wondering if any other pump users remember how long it took them on average to balance their pump in order to get their blood glucose control better than before they started on the pump? If that makes sense????

I've only been on the pump since friday and i,m slowly adjusting my dose levels units per hour every couple of days and have tried to change every else so its the same levels as my last machine but i.m running higher than I was before. Maybe 'm just being impatient

You're impatient. Get your basal testing done. They set you up to be higher to avoid the hypo's...
Have you got the flex sets or rapids?
Make sure you lig if its pre meal, after, bedtime etc and type in your notes to get the best out of the reports it gives.

I've got rapid,
Its early days I guess but i seem to be high all the time so not much to write down yet, but do seem to be holding at same rate before and after meal and as i've slowly increased daily rate which is bringing me down and staying steady, but still too high.

One of the reasons i wanted a pump was to try to stop the fact my blood levels will stay good and steady for 2 or 3 weeks and then for no reason they will jump up and then will have to spend 2 days getting my levels under control again so bit worried this might happen while i'm setting it up
