I am deligted that folks are feeling better a few weeks after diagnosis
however, like Sarah69 , I don't think I feel any different
I was diagnosed T2 about 12 months ago following a hospital visit after an accident. One of the 'routine' tests was high so I was referred back to my GP for a fasting test and hey presto - T2 !
I can honstly say that I was unuaware of any of the typical symptoms and after about a year on metformin my morning reading is typically between 6 & 7.
I don't feel better (or worse)
I don't feel I have any more energy
I don't feel any different in myself
The only positive thing I have felt relates to weight loss (which, frankly I could have done without the T2 diagnosis)
sorry to put a downer on things, but as Sarah69 puts it, diabetes affects everyone differently
