Hi all
I've just gone onto insulin and after finally getting my prescription from the Dr I find that she has issued me with 1 kwikpen to last 2 weeks which will probably last me 1 week as I am still finding the right level and I am on 24/20 at the moment.
Is this normal or are you supposed to have enough to last the month ?

Thanks

You should get enough to last a month at the very least.

Your doc has probably not done it on purpose. Give them a call and I'm sure they'll amend prescription.

I get 5 pens on each prescription which is currently done alternate months. I am only on 32/16 so still quite a Low dose and so far this has been OK. If I was running low I would just repeat the script and suggest that the number of pens is increased.

I get 28 nova rapid pens and 7 inslutard every 28 days

I get 10 solostar pens per script and 10 carts of Novorapid. They last me a while and I just put in a repeat when I need more.
