39 T2 and they reckoned I'd probably been diabetic for at least 15-20 years per-diagnosis.
Strangely enough I was repeatedly tested ( urine only) as a child from the age of 7 or so

I was 21 years old. I lost 3 stone in 8 weeks . Made it to work every day despite feeling exhausted. Developed skin condition which I believe is related to diabetes - necrobiosis?? . I'm now 65 years old, got angina at 49, stent kept me going until quadruple bypass 6years ago. Took part in Strictly dance for charity last year, danced quickstep and cha cha cha and along with 7 other couples, none diabetic, raised £13''000.
