I thought i was eating till full (isn't it meant to be sated? or is there even a difference). It's hard to tell, tobh!
I've just had a couple of tablespoons of cream and I think I feel better. Perhaps it is a fat thing. It's weird, it's hard to tell you're not getting enough fat when crunching the numbers.
However cream does have carbs and lactose so I need to be careful how much of that I eat.
I'm going to fry some cooked chicken meat in coconut oil for dinner. That sounds promising. I hope.
some places give some info on meat that has been cooked.. Waitrose for example. Is there any way to know how much fat is retained in a fried piece of meat?
My goal is to sort out BS, but i would like the weight loss as well. I think that is happening, but this hunger thing is insane. I'm getting pangs now, not 2 hours after eating a 160g beef burger, fried in butter, with spinach, cucumber and a mushroom. What am I doing wrong there? I thought i'd have a heart attack just looking at the pan! According to MFP i'm at 1100kcals. I need another 5-600 for the day to hit the macro. Frying more food in butter for dinner will help, but even this doesn't seem to sort my gut out. Why is this happening now?
How do you cook fat out of food? How then do you cook up a nice fatty meal like that without doing this?
No, i just want to not have low episodes again. What element of your blood sugar are you looking to sort out? Do you mean you're concerned about that one off high reading you had when you had just joined here?
what do you mean calories don't work?Forget about calories they dont work with LCHF/Keto diet just eat until full. I eat once a day and fast in-between and do not get hungry.

no, i have an endocrinology appointment at the end of May.Did you manage to get an appointment with a GP to discuss Post Prandial hypotension and other possible causes of your symptoms?
no, i have an endocrinology appointment at the end of May.
What I would like to know is why, after two hours, a fatty breakfast isn't keeping me sated anymore.
When i first started a meal of 2 sausages 2 rashers of bacon and kale and an avocado kept me going till about 1pm. I thought that was good. Now i'm hungrier quicker, and the hunger's a bujt more intense too.Did the same breakfast keep you sated before - ie a few weeks ago?
There are many reasons for hunger. Some people can happily go all day without food, others can't. Not through any fault in them or weakness - we're all different.
Keto isn't a magic answer and it doesn't suit everyone. As has been said before, you need to,find a diet that suits you, not worry what other people are doing.
And if you're hungry after two hours, why not just eat a snack of your choice? Just because other people can go all day without eating doesn't mean we all can
When i first started a meal of 2 sausages 2 rashers of bacon and kale and an avocado kept me going till about 1pm. I thought that was good.
This week i replaced the sausages with a pork belly slice and added salmon instead of bacon, using EVOO to add fat.And that exact same meal doesn't work in the same way now?
perhaps i should, not sure i can till next shopping day. But honestly, it ought not matter. Unless my packaging is lying to me. Two chicken thighs plus 30g butter is nearly 60g fat! If that's not filling me up then what on earth is happening? I'm assuming tesco list their products reasonably accurately.I like logic. Eat the same breakfast and see if you're hungryThat's what I'd do.
I don't know what I could try. That wouldn't fill me up either. I might be petite but I have a big appetite.
Remember, we're not machines. It's not a case of doing X and getting the result Y. You need to take into account your individual body. I suggest you work on finding meals that do fill you up more, and then choose from those. Broaden your outlook - maybe low carb soup, along with your meat/fat? Maybe a low carb salad?
Also, why not,try some no carb snacks and/or hot drinks? I find snacks help a lot. They don't have to be massive or carby.
