From memory though for diabetics, juicing is not always the best thing because of the lack of fibre that's taken in the juicing process. So I've heard it said that if diabetes want to do juicing first thing in the morning but then to opt for smoothies thereafter. Apparently if you juice first thing in the morning the body's main priority is hydration and nutrients, so fibre isn't needed.

The reasoning behind this is that the fibre become blitzed so that it has little to no effect on delaying the uptake of any carbs and is pretty useless for the gut biota. Further, because carbs are digested in the upper part of the intestine a liquid will be taken up even faster, thus causing possible spikes even sooner, and the benefits of eating or drinking an otherwise healthier ingredient list are completely lost, for those of us with T2 anyway.
