Don't have diabetes
Hi, I wonder if you can help me.
I have been diagnosed with hypoglycaemia, I’m not diabetic according to specialists, for nearly 10 years now and I can’t find any info on how to regulate my hypos. Drs have just told me to control my diet but I have no info about what my diet should, or shouldn’t be. Everything I’ve read about hypoglycaemia classes it as a side effect from diabetes, taking insulin etc, but not as a stand alone problem.
Is there any information, or anywhere you can point me in the direction of, to help me??
Many thank
Bryan

HI Brian,
I'm so sorry your doctors were so unhelpful (how can they tell someone to control their diet without any further information on what the diet is, it's just mind boggling, though unfortunately not unbelievable). There is a subforum for people suffering from hypos
https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/category/reactive-hypoglycemia.70/
It's got an "information for newbies" post that looks pretty informative..
Good luck. I'm sure you'll get some helpful information soon.

Hi @Bryan_morris welcome to our forum.
I have a condition which is very similar to Hypoglycaemia. I am not diabetic!
As others have said, we have our own forum.

There are many others struggling because the medical practitioners haven't got a clue because they believe that you should have healthy food as per a normal person.
To control the hypoglycaemia, you can't at normal healthy food because that is what is causing the hypoglycaemia.
After you have read the threads, please ask any questions you want to, knowledge and control is key to being healthier.

I have not had a hypo skincare my last glucose tolerance test over three years ago. I'm fitter and healthier and my energy levels are great.

It is what you eat and drink!

Best wishes
