I was diagnosed T2 about 9 years ago. I’m a retired shift working 1st Responder. I was a heavy duty weight trainer for circa 15 years. I have a high BMI but you cannot pinch an inch literally anywhere, the dietitian said it’s ’muscle residue?’. I was offered weight loss meds over the phone but I’m not fat. I hill walk as a hobby and cover 3 to 6 miles everyday with my dogs but I always come back with high sugars no matter what I do. It’s frustrating as I’m very driven but cannot win. And yes I’m careful. I’ve had previous success lowering my BS but not anymore as I’ve got older
I recently had major surgery and the Consultant said, ‘you do not look like a Diabetic’. I am at my wits end with a battle I cannot win.
