 I can't believe I did this ... and I blame it on not eating enough yesterday ...

Yesterday I didn't have any protein for breakfast, I just had some home made meatless veggie soup. Then I went swimming and after swimming I ate 2oz of cheese and then drove to visit a friend. We talked for a couple of hours and around 6pm I realised I was feeling a bit whoozy and needed to eat, so I then ate a couple of slices of proscuttio and some chicken breast and egg mayo with a wee bit of salad.

My friend who I love to bits and have known for years, is quite a loudly spoken and excitable type of person and my ears were feeling decidedly battered as time went on as I'm very sensitive to noise or loud voices. She was telling me how forgetful she's becoming, that she's been getting confused with her days and dates lately and we were having a good laugh about our 'senior moments' and even the sound of my own laughter was giving me a headache.

I left to come home at about 8.30pm by which time I was feeling really nauseous and when I got home I felt dizzy and nauseous and generally just awful. I tested my BS and it was 5.1 which is the lowest it's ever been I think, and I realised this was probably a false hypo. But there was no way I couldn't NOT eat something, because I felt really sick. So I ate a tiny banana and a satsuma, still felt no better half an hour after so had some more cheese.

Went to bed and woke up this morning with what felt like a hangover, still felt nauseous, had to go to the Jobcentre this morning for an appointment at 9.30am so I got myself there and was directed upstairs to wait for the Advisor to call me. After sitting there for about 5 mins another advisor came over and asked who I was waiting to see and she then told me she's not usually here on a Wednesday. I checked my appointment in my diary and the appointment was indeed, for tomorrow!

Who was my appointment with? An Advisor from a company called Tomorrow's People

I'm not surprised you were feeling woozy. your description comes across as though you are all but starving yourself.

That was just yesterday, I normally have egg and bacon or cottage cheese and crackers for brekkie and get off to a good start, but yesterday I decided to have my veggie soup for a change. I think the lack of protein coupled with the swimming and the visiting got me off to a bad start and I didn't eat what I'd usually eat. I won't be doing that again. Back to a good helping of protein for brekky today, fish for dinner and tomorrow I'm off to buy myself a ribeye steak ... haven't had one this week. :D

Oh dear Grace, its awful when you feel ill  I hope today is a better day for you  and wasn't Tomorrows People an old TV programme :?:  Take care RRB

Hope your feeling better today Grace , dont worry about feeling silly ...
Sometimes this can be how we learn and find out things .

Wasnt tomorrows people - a science programme thing about tomorrows new techno gadgets?
Or was that called something else ?
Its not pan's people - they were the girl dancers on top of the pop's .

Glad your okay today grace , you are not the only one turning up at wrong day appointments .
I have done this - but was a week early they were great about it all waved me cheerily out
Saying we will see you next week !
Realised I had wrote in my diary the wrong week and followed this , instead of even looking at
my appointment letter 'till' I got there .
I went home and took my 2 yorkies out for a walk instead
The walk helped to clear my head and sharpen up my senses ...

Anna.

Ha! The programme was Tomorrow's World ... and that's what I said today when they asked who I had my appointment with.

My head still feels groggy and I feel like I haven't slept for a week. Surely a false hypo can't make you feel so yuk for so long?

Dont beat yourself up grace, im sure we all have lost track of time etc and forgotten to eat..i know i have. Hope you are feeling better

I may have experienced deja vu today as I'm sure I read about tomorrow yesterday.

On a slightly more serious note I would agree with others that you were probably feeling the effects of lack of food rather than a false hypo, what are your usual pre meal levels?

It's around 6.8ish pre-meal, sometimes 7.
