Diabetic Blood test-HbA1c level 51%

Is this high?

It's not % it's mmol, and no it's borderline, I was 51 at diagnosis, and by low carbing, at 3 months i was down to 36. Which is low normal. With minor tweaks to your diet, you should rapidly attain pre diabetic or even non diabetic numbers. You will always be diabetic, but with the right diet for YOU, we are all different, you can live whilst basically disregarding the diabetes, as long as you maintain a diet that suits YOU.

I agree it’s not measured as a percentage in this instance. 51 mmol/mol is just into the diabetic range, anything 48 or over is
