Ideas on LCHF/PALEO keto deserts

If you're on tablets (such as gliclazide?) to reduce your sugars then going lower than 4 is indeed too low and you need sugar to counteract it. But I would argue that you should see your doctor and review your medication if it's making you go that low, because you're probably on too high a dosage. If you're just on metformin then going low is probably not an issue.

Well obviously low carb has been working for you if you need to reduce your meds, so no need for excuses, be proud...
 
Bliss balls, made with nut butters, and coconut flakes and unsweetened cocoa if you like the chocolate taste can be a fabulous keto/LCHF way to deal with sweet-tooth cravings. They are quite labour intensive to make (rolling all those wee balls!), and expensive (all that nut butter), but when I have done it is has been worth it. Heaps of recipes online to choose from.

Also, favourite keto cake recipes - mine is a lime pound cake, but I have a very large lime tree in my back yard, as someone living in the subtropics. And I have a favourite granulated stevia product now, after years of looking for a good one that suits my body. (If you are a keto/LCHF baker - a good granulated stevia product helps hugely!)

But, I have to warn you, I love the substitute cakes - i also have a 'stoneage chocolate cake' from a paleo cookbook, made with coconut flour, and oil, that I make from time to time, maybe just once a year each, but no-one who does not have diabetes considers them to be a genuine replacement for sugary, wheat flour cake! They are not light and fluffy, and they are not sweet in the traditional sense of the word. No-one in my family or amongst my friends, eats them but me.
