Well, where do I
start?
When we are given a new medication, we are supposed to read the little slip of paper inside the box. It lists all the contraindications commonly experienced. By commonly, we are talking about minorities, usually low %s.
We should all read the paper. Do we? Nope. And when we experience side effects and contraindications, what do we do?
We stop taking the tablets.
Problem solved 99+% of the time.
Can you see the comparison I am drawing?
Having tried MANY diets and ways of eating before finding VeryLow Carb/Ketogenic eating, I can say with absolute certainty that Low Carb is more pleasant, more sustainable, more enjoyable and has fewer unpleasant contraindications than anything else I have tried. It has also made me healthier.
Quite an accolade.
Then you can add in that most people eat low carb, not keto (the article referenced by
@SueMG is specifically about Keto), and you can see why I consider that article to be a piece of melodramatic blogging, probably intended to increase readership, with no actual concern for the many people (lots of whom frequent this forum) who find low carbing to be the best, easiest and most convenient way to avoid the unpleasant consequences of raised blood glucose - neuropathy, blindness, amputation, kidney failure and yes, you've guessed it
death.
