I've been receiving e-mails that appear to come from Diabetes co uk, but the reply address is Diabetes co uk <reply_nrrjs_hsyhbt_l at uk.cp20.com> (I've replaced the @ symbol with "at" here and removed the dots, so I don't post the link.

Are these genuine? A lot of them have links for payment, and my computer is labelling them as spam.

Sounds dodgy to me, thanks for not posting the direct link.

I'm only a moderator on the forum and I don't have access to diabetes.co.uk activities outside the forum, but I can alert our Admins @Carson_dcuk and @Administrator so they can look into this.

I had one yesterday the same -did not open it, went into my junk had an attachment which I also did not open. They must be desperately doing the rounds :shifty:

I actually think they are probably legit, for several reasons .

I get them (and have been getting them for a couple of years) and they are sent to the email address which I used with this forum and this email address has not used anywhere else and I haven't got any other types of emails with this email address.

All the links in the email are of the form https://trk.cp20.com/click/... but these seem to actually go to Diabetes.co.uk and trk.cp20.com seems to be a website used to track which links are been clicked on.
Even the links trying to sell you something end (like insurance) end up taking you to https://www.diabetes.co.uk

Gmail says the email passes all their spam tests ,eg

SPF: PASS with IP 209.85.220.41
DKIM: 'PASS' with domain diabetes.co.uk
DMARC: 'PASS'

Although to be honest I won't put much faith in the last point, seeing how diabetes.co.uk's spf record is set up!

Hey All,

As mentioned above the funny return address is for marketing, and to see what gets attention. Our apologies for any confusion this might have caused.

Carson

I hear what you say and why it might help.

But I'd have to say

A. it's an unnecessary stress for many,
Given how prevalent such phishing & hoaxes are.

B. Likely to have many too frightened to respond at all, completely skewing any useful information, I'd have thought.

C. And if it continues in the same format, won't the probable outcome being no one trusts when DCUK reaches out with personal Emails & simply blacklists them all as SPAM ?

There have been several threads now that I'm aware of regarding concerns over these emails, and I'm starting to feel that diabetes.co.uk are maybe shooting themselves in the foot. They've definitely lost some of my respect & trust with these "spammish" emails.
