Type 1 Impacted Wisdom Teeth and Infection

So all four of my wisdom teeth are completely horizontally impacted. And I've been getting swollen lymph nodes and ear aches. Two symptoms of impacted wisdom teeth. Since I'm type 1 dont we have weaker immune systems? I've been told at least. But could my wisdom teeth be making me have infections inside my mouth? Because if so I'm thinking i should get my wisdom teeth out sooner. Also with my last visit my h1c or whatever its called(im still fairly new to all this) was at a 13% so yeah.
 
With high BG's your immune system doesn't function as it should. And a lot of the time they will put you on an antibiotic "just in case" if you have something more serious done if you are diabetic. If you maintain a more "proper" BG level your immune system usually works just fine.

Your BG level plays an important function in your immune response.
 
So you need to be testing your bsl regularly and working with your nurse to adjust any doses deemed necessary to keep your bsls under control. NOW because things may get worse. No time to dawdle
The higher the sugar levels the worse your immune system may become compromised.
And of course a trip to the dentist to see what can be done is paramount to ease the dental troubles as any infection stresses the body and causes the bsls to rise.

I had impacted wisdom teeth. The last one was removed in January at the hospital day surgery unit. They don't like taking the lower ones out in the surgery. I'd had several abscesses under the tooth and the last one gave me tmj disorder which lasted a couple of months. The removal was fine, no problems afterwards. Hurt a bit after the GA had worn off, but the stitches were self dissolving and everything healed quickly.

Like @kitedoc says though - I worked very hard to keep my bloods stable and low for the weeks before and after the removal which I am convinced helped a great deal, as bugs love high blood sugar.
 
My husband had his wisdom teeth removed in hospital and his general health improved afterwards, it was a serious operation at the time, under general anaesthetic, but was achieved without complications and got a good result.
