Dear Caity - As the others have said this is potentially very serious. Please ring for an ambulance. Rapidly escalating kidney pain is EXACTLY how my first experience of DKA started. I was admitted as soon as I was evaluated in A&E and it took 24 hours of saline/insulin drip to get my BG levels back to acceptable levels. Please stay safe and act now!I haven't taen my insulin in such a long time. My kidneys started to hurt yesterday - today they're agony, I have chest pains and I feel so sick. I tried to get a doctors appointment this morning but with no success. Anyone have any tips? I'm stuck in work just about crying with pain. TIA, Cait
