Hi Everyone,t

My name is Chloe and I'm 21, I've been type 1 for 12 years now and I'm tired of my weight constantly getting me down.

I've heard about this insanity workout and it sound amazing, I was just wondering if anyone had tried it? And what it did to your sugars etc?

Thanks,
Chloe xx

Hi chloe. A lot here cut their carb intake down with the lchf diet. you also have to cut your insulin to match.
This and normal exercise should do the trick for you. There is a lot about it on the forum

Rude people !
I've done Insanity and it's very tough ! My BG levels used to drop by 3 or 4 mmol afterwards. There is a new one out now by the same guy, Sean T, it's called T25 which is still super hard but only lasts 25mins. Much easier to fit in as 60mins for Insanity is not always possible. You will definitely see results if you follow it through. Just test regularly and adjust where necessary. Good luck !

I've tried carb counting and cutting my insulin but it didn't work for other, I have other health problems which means my insulin sensitivity randomly changes.

Well that's why I wanna do it now I've just finished uni until September so I have some free time, I just wanted to know how it effected BG levels :) so thanks.

You may go low with vigorous exercise, so check during and up to 12hrs after. I think is what I have read here
There are a few T1 doing low carb that can help you sort the insulin, they bolus a bit for the protein too

Hi Chloe1992,
Great you want to get yourself fitter!
You may find it useful to have a look at http://www.teambloodglucose.com/TeamBG/Type_1_Basics.html
Also, perhaps consider joining the facebook group Sporty Diabetic Type 1's where you can post up questions to get advice too.
Happy training!

Hi Chloe, I do insanity, I don't follow the diet and I try to do it twice a week, as mo1905 said it's hard to fit it in! I always drop my insulin by 50% on the meal before, and again on the meal after, and 25% for the next 24 hours as I find the recovery time is longer with Insanity than "regular" cardio.
Hope that helps!
