I have recently been diagnosed with type 2 and am currently taking Metformin and eating a low carb diet. I am currently up to 3 tablets per day. 1 in the morning and 2 in the evening. Today I felt shaky and tested my blood and it was 4.4 which is much lower than it ever has been! I are something and felt okay after about 20 mins.
I must have had diabetes for at least a couple of years! My mood was terrible and I felt extremely irritable/tired... I began to grow quite concerned. Since I e been taking the medication, my energy levels have increased, my mood improved (feel almost human again) and I have lost 2 stones (needed to!)... to get to the point...
I read on here that we have 'sweeter blood' ... I ha e noticed that insects make a bee line (excuse the pun!) for me and every summer I get severely bitten by every biting insect there is, whereas my husband and others in my family get away without bites... could the reduction in blood sugar perhaps make me less attractive to insects? Has anyone else been bitten when other people are
Left alone?
