Insulin pump site

Hi everyone,
I use medtronic pump 722 model for almost a year now. I have been alternating sites of infusion kit between both thighs, specifically 8/9 sites on one thigh then on the other leg. Every 3 days i change them. However on the old site I develop darkening of skin, makes me uncomfortable and sad. Can anyone help me with this, like some kind of lotion or oil or any?

What type of cannulas do you use?

I'm afraid I don't really have any advice, my site placement doesn't really involve an awful lot of thought. It wouldn't really occur to me to try lotion and I've not really noticed any discolouration. Maybe you just need to give your thighs a rest and try alternate sites like bum and abdomen.

6mm cannula. By Medtronic. Called quickset.
